A five-day rally in U.S. stocks ran out of steam on Friday as investors booked profits and reset their positions ahead of the earning season set to begin next week.

At 10:19 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.59 percent at 23,859.42. The S&P 500 was down 0.46 percent at 2,584.69 and the Nasdaq Composite was down 0.37 percent at 6,960.356.

** Level Brands Inc, up 9.6 pct

The top three NYSE percentage losers:

** Vail Resorts Inc, down 10.9 pct

** iShares Edge, down 10.2 pct

** Autohome Inc, down 9.3 pct

The top three Nasdaq percentage gainers:

** Tilray Inc, up 23.8 pct
