Top Tech Stocks
Technology stocks still were lower as a group on Friday, with the shares of tech stocks in the S&P 500 losing almost 0.3% in value although the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index was rising over 1.0% in recent trading.

(+) Iridium Communications ( IRDM ) was almost 8% higher in late afternoon trading following the Friday morning launch of its 10th Iridum NEXT satellite from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California into low-earth orbit, completing a two-year, $3 billion effort to replace its entire fleet of 75 communications satellites.
