Financial stocks were broadly higher in afternoon trading, including a less than 0.1% gain for the NYSE Financial Index while shares of financial companies in the S&P 500 were climbing more than 0.5%. The Philadelphia Housing Index was rising about 0.9%.

The financial news platform said it will pay a special dividend of $1.77 per share on April 22 to shareholders of record on April 15. The company also is planning a 1-for-10 reverse stock split effective with the start of trading on April 26.
