American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.23% lower at 1,509.89 on the BNY Mellon Asia 50 ADR Index on Tuesday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by educational services provider China Online Education ( COE ) and news aggregator Qutoutiao ( QTT ), which climbed 4.8% and 4.6% respectively. They were followed by social media platform Weibo Corporation ( WB ) and insurance firm China Life Insurance ( LFC ), which rose 3.5% and 3.1%.

The decliners in North Asia were led by computer-based testing services provider ATA ( ATAI ), which tumbled 12%, followed by solar park operator Sky Solar Holdings (SKYS), beverage company China New Borun (BORN) and railroad operator Guangshen Railway (GSH), which fell 2.6%, 2.3%, and 1.5% respectively.

In South Asia, the gainers were led by biotech firm ASLAN (ASLN) and ICICI Bank (IBN), which rose 9.2% and 3.5% respectively. They were followed by digital entertainment company Sea Limited (SE) and pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which were up 0.9% and 0.3%.

IT company Infosys (INFY) was the lone decliner in South Asia, falling 0.7%.
