J.P. Morgan Puts Asia-Based Investment Business Up for Sale -FT
J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (JPM) is shopping its Global Special Opportunities Group business and has spoken with potential buyers, including private equity firms and hedge funds, the Financial Times reported Monday on its website, citing people familiar with the situation.
Potential buyers for the Asian-based business include a Blackstone Group L.P. (BX) unit, Carlyle Group L.P. (CG) and KKR & Co. (KKR), the newspaper reported.
Spokesmen for J.P. Morgan, Blackstone, Carlyle and KKR declined comment to the FT.
