BofA-ML Names Kevin Skelton as Australia Country Head - Memo

SYDNEY--Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAC) has appointed Sydney-based Kevin Skelton as chief executive of its Australian unit, according to an internal memo seen by The Wall Street Journal.
Mr. Skelton, who has worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for more than 25 years, will report to Matthew Koder, the bank's Asia-Pacific president, and join the Asia-Pacific executive committee, said the memo.
Mr. Skelton will step down from the role of head of Australian investment banking, which has held since 2009, A Bank of America Merrill Lynch spokeswoman confirmed the memo and said a replacement will be announced in the near future.
The Wall Street bank is currently ranked third, behind UBS AG and Macquarie Group Ltd., in Dealogic's Australia ECM League Table. It's ranked ninth in Dealogic's Completed Australia M&A League Table, which is currently topped by Macquarie Group.
